Last October, I discovered a wonderful little organization called Military Spouse Fine Arts Network. I was looking for grants or artist residencies offered to MIL spouses, and I stumbled upon MSFAN (Military Spouse Fine Arts Network). Korey Roswell, their communications specialist, contacted me. He introduced the work at MSFAN, which is to "Connect military spouses in the arts with each other and their communities." This is an excellent service, anything that can help facilitate or connect military spouse artists to their community and the art world is paramount.
Artists hear all the time that's it connections and who you know that helps get your work seen. This can be so frustrating as a military spouse. We just move too much.
So thank you MSFAN!
I was interviewed by them last October, and it was posted in March. While I pushed it out on Insta I did not drop it here.
The interview touches on my process and conceps circling my current work...
